Hi there! I’m Michelle Santana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor. I am an Orange County native and I have been in the field of social work for over 20 years. I began my clinical mental health career in school and home-based mental health. I later transitioned into community mental health care and currently run a part-time private practice specializing in the treatment of trauma survivors. In addition, I specialize in crisis counseling and support adolescents in secondary education while teaching masters-level counseling students as an adjunct professor.
I am most passionate about the restorative and healing aspects of mental health therapy and trauma-informed practice. I believe our most painful setbacks are the platforms for life’s greatest comebacks! I have had the sacred honor to witness the power of a healing environment and the radical impact therapy has on people's lives. I approach treatment holistically, using my training in TFCBT, EMDR, DBT, attachment-focused therapy, and mindfulness to develop a personalized plan to treat a variety of individuals and couples.
When I'm not working, I keep very busy running after my toddler as a new mom, enjoying lots of coffee, walks, and adventures surrounded by friends and family.

His aim in his work with couples is to provide evidenced-based tools and ways of thinking about things within the relationship which have been shown to work when applied effectively, not to point out who is right/wrong or referee arguments.

Dr. Katie Moore is a highly experienced licensed clinical psychologist with an extraordinary ability to connect with teens and adults who have been unable to make progress, or even unwilling to meet, with previous therapists. Additionally, she is formally trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): two of the premier evidence based treatments for trauma.
Dr. Moore started her career as a therapist treating adults, including severely and persistently mentally ill adults in a locked psychiatric facility. Once she began treating trauma, adolescents, and children, she found her calling. In addition to specializing in complex trauma and treatment resistant individuals, Dr. Moore has a subspecialty in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and their families. Three things Dr. Moore loves about her job are (1) making a difference in the lives around her, (2) the opportunity to always learn new things and learn about different cultures, and (3) "that moment when I finally put the puzzle pieces together and feel like I fully understand a person that I work with." Dr. Moore prides herself on being nonjudgmental and helping all of her clients to feel comfortable.
Dr. Moore received her doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Irvine, CA. She was then accepted as a psychology intern for Orange County Health Care Agency to serve residential facilities that treat youth in foster care. Orange County Health Care Agency then offered for her to stay on as a staff psychologist, where she worked as a trauma therapist for diverse children and adolescents for more than 7 years. Dr. More now works in private practice and can often be found as a guest speaker at conferences and training seminars. If you have experienced stress or trauma and are unsure of where to turn, Dr. Moore is here for you..
