Hi, I'm Jackie. Welcome to the Center of Resiliency! I'm excited to join you on your journey toward healing and wholeness. As a therapist, I create a space where your story matters, your strengths grow, and change becomes possible.
ABOUT ME:
As a narrative-based therapist, I believe our stories shape us, but they don’t have to confine us. Together, we’ll honor your background, challenge unhelpful narratives, and rewrite the parts that no longer serve you. My approach is collaborative and adaptive to your needs, honoring your emotions while building real-world tools to help you thrive.
I specialize in supporting:
• Individuals & couples through relationship challenges, life transitions, and family dynamics
• Trauma healing (including PTSD and domestic violence)
• Emotional struggles (anxiety, depression, self-esteem)
• Grief and loss
• Teens navigating identity or behavioral issues
• Substance use and compulsive behaviors
• Neurodiverse clients (autism-related challenges)
Together, we will blend traditional wisdom and modern therapy; addressing emotional wounds while honoring how your culture, family story, and spiritual beliefs shape healing.
When I am not in sessions, my family and I are either caring for our menagerie (dogs, ducks, and a very opinionated pig) or planning our next adventure. I love traveling, as immersing myself in different countries and environments teaches me how beautifully diverse human experiences can be. This deep appreciation for different ways of living naturally flows into my practice, where I honor each client’s unique background and story.
Therapy with me isn’t about ‘fixing’ you—it’s about reclaiming your voice and rewriting your story with compassion. Your strength is already within you; let’s shine a light on it together.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
I have earned a Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University and a Master's degree in Education and Counseling from the University of Redlands. I have amassed over ten years of experience working in the field of behavioral health, with several years dedicated to serving those struggling with substance abuse and trauma. I have also spent several years researching and serving the diverse needs of the elderly and aging population. In addition to my work as a therapist, I serve as an ABA program supervisor, strengthening my ability to always prioritize autonomy, self-advocacy and the celebration of neurodiverse strengths.
