Hello, I am excited to work with and help individuals on their Mental health journey. My focus is to create a safe space for individuals to collaborate and reflect upon. So, individuals can grow and develop appropriate skills to deal with complicated life challenges and/or situations.
I have worked with all age groups, individuals, couples, and families., depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, anger management, chronic pain, fears, trauma, grief/loss, military families, personal growth, and life transitions. I utilized an array of therapeutic interventions stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic-based therapy, Strength-based therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative therapy.
My expertise includes working as a hospice social worker who supported the emotional, psychological, and social wellness of end-of-life patients. I advocated to address the concerns and wishes of people in the later stages of their lives.
I have experience navigating the school systems, IEP’s, and working with children with disabilities. My clinical rotation included serving a major metropolitan community at the capacity of mental health, chemical dependency, NICU, pediatrics, fetal demise, and underserved populations.
About me: I hold an Associate degree in accounting, a Bachelor of business administration, and a Master’s degree in Social Work. When I am not working with clients, I enjoy my family time and the happiest place on earth.
I believe that taking care of your health and well-being while taking care of yourself gives you the power to lead the way to learning, skillset, growth, and gives you the chance for the initial transformation to occur.
I would be delighted and honored to have you join me on this journey of self-discovery, growth, education, and healing.
Welcome to The Center of Resiliency!
Hi, I’m Yna. My hope is to create a safe and compassionate space where you feel seen, heard, and supported throughout the process. I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. I have a strong foundation in grief work, supporting clients as they process loss in all its forms, whether that involves a loved one or a significant life change. I value culturally sensitive and inclusive care, and I strive to support clients from all backgrounds who may feel unseen or misunderstood in their experiences.
My approach is grounded in client-centered therapy. I integrate a blend of Humanistic Therapy, Experiential Therapy including art therapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) to foster emotional expression, creativity, and mind-body awareness. I also draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and narrative approaches to help clients reframe unhelpful thoughts, explore meaning, and foster resilience and hope. I strive to make therapy a space where healing feels both accessible and empowering.
I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College and have experience working with youth and families across school and community settings. Outside of my professional life, I find balance and inspiration in nature with my dogs, visiting theme parks, reading, and journaling.
Hello, my name is Bryn, and I warmly welcome you to the Center of Resiliency. I am delighted that you have found your way here and are taking this courageous step toward growth and healing. Prioritizing your well-being is a significant and commendable decision, especially in today’s fast-paced world, where it can be all too easy to neglect our inner peace. At the Center of Resiliency, we believe that prioritizing your mental and emotional health creates a ripple effect, positively impacting every aspect of your life and the lives of those around you.
I have the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages, including teens, adults, older adults, and couples. While my practice is inclusive, I am particularly passionate about helping clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety,
life transitions, relationship issues, low self-esteem, motivation difficulties, OCD, PTSD, and autism spectrum disorders. I firmly believe that motivation and the right support can make therapy a transformative experience for anyone.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the present moment, emphasizing the importance of meeting clients where they are in their journey. I view therapy as a safe yet effective space for clients to pause, reflect, and re-center. My goal is to empower clients by equipping them with practical tools and strategies they can use beyond our sessions. Central to my practice is fostering self-regulation of the nervous system, cultivating self-reliance, and developing the
ability to self-soothe during times of distress.
I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from National University and have learned a wide variety of therapeutic techniques, most closely aligning with an Existential/Humanistic approach to counseling. I believe in the profound strength that comes from accepting reality as it is before embarking on the path to change. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy biking and hiking, immersing myself in books at local coffee shops, and cherishing meaningful moments with my friends and family.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward resilience, healing, and personal growth. Together, we can work toward creating a life that feels balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your truest self.
Hi, I’m Sandra Valencia. Welcome to The Center of Resiliency.
I’m so glad you found your way here. Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when life feels heavy, uncertain, or emotionally overwhelming. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you cultivate greater balance, reconnect with self-trust, and begin moving toward emotional freedom.
I work with teens, young adults, adults, professionals, couples, and individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, attachment wounds, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, burnout, body image struggles, and unhealthy coping patterns such as addictive behaviors. I also support clients processing romantic
breakups, divorce, processing inner child wounds, and working through patterns like codependency and unhealthy relationship dynamics. Many of the individuals I work with feel stuck in repetitive emotional or relational cycles and are ready to reconnect with themselves and create more conscious, fulfilling relationships with self and others.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Jungian and depth psychology, mindfulness-based practices, narrative therapy, and somatic interventions to help you gently identify underlying patterns, process emotions safely, and develop sustainable coping strategies you can apply in everyday life. I also incorporate emotional intelligence frameworks, inner child healing, breakup processing, and guided self-reflection to support deeper insight, self-compassion, and lasting change.
What shapes my work is my professional journey as both a clinician and wellness educator, along with my passion for holistic healing. As a life coach for over a decade, I believe in helping you build a personalized toolbox, one that supports you in recognizing, processing, and integrating emotional triggers in your own way. I am a tool- oriented therapist who believes therapy is a place to feel supportive, practical, and empowering.
Together, we focus on strengthening emotional resilience, communication, self-worth, body awareness, nervous system regulation, and self-love, while cultivating balance and compassion in daily life. My goal is to support you in living with greater authenticity, self-acceptance, and emotional freedom.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy yoga, sound baths, and connecting with nature, whether in the forest, on the beach, or hiking in the mountains. I am passionate about supporting my community, volunteering at personal development seminars, and mentoring foster youth and young adults who are seeking guidance and support to grow into their full potential. I am also a well-traveled woman, having journeyed solo to over 25 countries to explore healing practices, ancestral wisdom, and diverse approaches to personal growth. These experiences have deeply informed my perspective and enrich the way I guide clients on their own paths of transformation. Also, I am fluent in English and Spanish.
If any of this inbformation resonates with you, I encourage you to reach out with curiosity and an open heart. Whether you’re navigating challenges, seeking clarity, or ready to begin a new chapter, I am here to support you.
Together, we can create a safe and nurturing space where you can reflect, gain insight, and take steps toward the awareness, balance, and the emotional freedom you desire.
