Find a Therapist in California KT

Kimberly Telphy, BA, MS, PPSC, APCC

Hello and welcome!

I’m Kimberly. Most people call me, Kim. I have a passion for working with adolescents, adults, and families. I have worked with individuals from all ethnicities and backgrounds. My specialty is working with individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-harm, self-esteem, ADHD behavioral, and development challenges.

My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. I believe that true peace comes from within, while our problems may be external, problems are often solved internally by working on ourselves. Change is possible when we have the tools to create that change.

My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space that will allow you to open and express your thoughts and feelings freely, with a mission to support you in achieving the life and things you desire.

A little bit about my background,  I have worked in the field of counseling for many years helping adolescents and families manage behaviors, anxiety, and trauma-related issues. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences with a Minor in Psychology from Chapman University, later earning a master’s degree in Education with a (PPSC) Pupil Personnel Services Credential in school counseling from the University of Redlands later completing my LPCC certification, from Azusa Pacific University.

Claudia Francis, DMFT, FCCA, MDiv, BCC

Hello and welcome to the Center of Resiliency! I am Claudia.

I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey of healing and growth. I desire to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where individuals, couples, and families can explore challenges, discover new perspectives, and build resilience.

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, postpartum adjustment, relationship and

communication struggles, grief and loss, and life transitions. I also welcome clients who wish to integrate their spirituality into therapy, honoring the values and beliefs that bring meaning and

strength to their lives.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical

Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and systemic family therapy models. Every client is unique, and I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to your individual needs and

goals. My aim is to walk with you as you identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and foster deeper connections in your life.

I hold a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, where I focused on integrative and culturally responsive care. My background also includes extensive

experience working in medical settings, particularly in pediatric and women’s health, addressing complex issues such as comorbidities, postpartum mental health, parent support, and family dynamics. Having lived and worked in diverse cultural contexts—both as part of majority and minority communities—I bring a deep appreciation for multicultural perspectives and am

committed to serving underserved and marginalized populations with compassion and respect.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy rediscovering the outdoors through hiking, fitness, and running. I am working toward re-engaging in my passion for 5Ks, 10Ks, and eventually half and full marathons. These activities help me stay grounded and reflect the same resilience and perseverance I seek to nurture in my clients.

Ja'Nae Perkins MSW, ASW

Hi, I’m Ja' Nae Perkins and welcome to the Center!

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges, and I am excited to work alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and empowered.

I specialize in working with transitional aged youth (18-24), families, couples, children, elderly, and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, self-esteem concerns, stress, and/or relationship challenges. No matter where you are on your path, I am here to help guide you toward greater clarity and resilience in your life.

I believe that healing begins with understanding and acceptance. I incorporate therapeutic models such as Motivational Interviewing, Restorative Practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to support clients in gaining insight into their emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns. Through our work together, I aim to equip you with tools that foster self-awareness, emotional regulation, and lasting change.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University and have 8 years of experience in case management and mental health care. When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy roller-skating, dancing, binge-watching movies and TV shows, and spending quality time with family and friends. These activities all help me stay grounded and refreshed. I truly love what I do and consider it an honor to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life's ups and downs.

I became a social worker because your life is worth my time.
