I’m Chandra and very thankful that you are here. Welcome to the next chapter in the book of YOU!
We all know that life is full of challenges which at times feel insurmountable, but only you have the power to make the changes necessary to restore your mental wellbeing, create healing, and
reclaim your peace. As your therapist I see it as my responsibility to help you remember this power within you. I will do this by creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can bring your whole self and develop the courage and skills necessary for you to thrive again.
Yes, I am a therapist, but I am also a human being who has navigated many life challenges. My personal experiences with family, caregiving, and complex relationships inform my empathy, resilience, and understanding of the struggles others face. I have my Bachelors degree in psychology from Cal State Long Beach and my Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University. I have over 15 years of experience working in nonprofits, child welfare, family court,
parenting programs and more. I love working with teens, young adults, women, parents and anyone willing to do their healing work. I support and maintain my own mental health through exercising regularly, spending time in nature, dancing, journaling, listening to music, and
spending time with friends, family, and most importantly myself.
Some specific issues I can support you with include depression, anxiety, parenting, co-parenting, caregiver burden, women’s issues, family dynamics, trauma & resilience, work/life balance, career transitions, spirituality and intimate relationships while utilizing frameworks such as CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness and other evidence-based holistic approaches.
I believe a good match with a therapist is extremely important, so if you feel that I may be theright fit for you, I’m ready to walk beside you as you grow and find more peace from within!
Let’s get to work!
Hello! I’m Sarah, an Associate Therapist (AMFT/APCC). Whether you are seeking support for everyday stressors or healing from deeper emotional wounds, therapy can be a powerful space for growth and self-discovery. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgemental environment where clients feel safe, supported
and empowered.
I work with individuals, adolescents, children and families navigating a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, life transitions, and stress. I also have extensive history and clinical interest in working with trauma and PTSD; including childhood trauma, relationship trauma,
domestic violence, assault, and other adverse life experiences. Additionally, I support individuals experiencing substance use concerns, addictive behaviors, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and more complex mental health conditions
such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia-spectrum disorders.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-centered interventions, and motivational interviewing to help clients build insight, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful and sustainable changes. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and collaborating to create goals that feel realistic, empowering, and aligned with each client’s values and strengths.
I have my bachelor’s degree in child and family development and my master’s in counseling psychology. Right now, I am working towards licensure and excited to grow as a therapist. In my free time, I enjoy socializing with my friends and family, going to live music events, and taking care of my fur baby, Kirk. If the weather is nice, you’ll most likely find me at a dog park or the beach. I also am a firm believer and advocate in self-care. Some of my self-care activities include yoga, meditation, listening to music, and cuddling my dog. If you are ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, I would be honored to support you and work with you.
Hello and welcome to the Center of Resiliency!
My name is Talia Kokonian and I am an associate marriage and family therapist (AMFT158879). Recently, I have graduated from Pepperdine University with my masters in Clinical Psychology. As someone who has always wondered the meaning behind people’s actions, along with wanting to be someone’s support system, I know the feeling of wanting to make things better and happier.
Are you feeling tired of not being understood? Do you ever feel like you're the only one feeling this sense of anxiety and doom? You are not alone. Navigating today's world can be hard. Whether you are at the start of your journey and discovering your identity, or want extra support along the way, I am here for you in every step of the way. I work exclusively with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. You are incredibly worthy and so loved.
Therapy is a tough journey and you deserve to be supported! By utilizing solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, my priority is to always provide a nonjudgmental, safe space. Therapy sessions can be a journey and you are not alone.
My style of therapy is to always be supportive, kind, and welcoming.
Outside of therapy, I am someone that enjoys listening to music and reading, while also going on walks.
