What is this group and how can it help?

This is a highly interactive, relationship-dynamic educational and supportive group, cycling every 8 sessions, designed to:

· Help those experiencing difficult circumstances regarding relationships

· Provide education and awareness of healthy versus unhealthy relationships

· Explore coping skills, boundary setting, and triggers 

· Share communication skills and grounding techniques for clients to use in their everyday life

Largely, this group provides a safe space for clients who are going through similar experiences to meet, learn from, empower, and support each other.

What We Do

The goal of the group is to increase relationship awareness, deepen self-understanding, and develop emotional intelligence. 

Our discussions are wide-ranging but grounded in exploring how we adapt to the relationship challenges of daily life and how we respond to the forces that promote (or restrain) successful, long-term relationships.

To improve our relationship skills, we practice simple exercises that: 

1. Defuse emotional reactivity

2. Communicate thoughts and feelings effectively 

3. Loosen the grip of unhelpful attitudes and behaviors.

4. Deepen self-reflection and understanding

This combination of interaction and practice helps you to see firsthand how you make (and how you block) the connections you seek and to resolve the obstacles that arise between you and others.
