Tiffany Elliott, Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee - Supervised by Alexandria Perry, LMFT 128015

Hello, I am Tiffany Elliott, and I am excited to begin my work with you at Center of Resiliency! I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee with 17 years of experience working in nonprofit mental health settings, including providing direct services as Peer Support Specialist, training

individuals in both behavioral health topics as well as arts-based mental health courses, and running training and advocacy programs.

As a MFT trainee, I strive to create an affirming space for people with diverse identities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent adolescents and adults, and those navigating trauma. The care I provide is trauma-informed and prioritizes collaboration and choice

throughout the therapeutic process. I recognize how trauma can shape nervous system responses, relationships, and core beliefs, and my goal is to support healing by fostering self-compassion and

skill-building to help regulate trauma responses. I am also passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients and honor autism and other neurodivergence as differences that are an important part of the individual. I am mindful of sensory needs, communication differences,

burnout, and the cumulative impact of feeling “othered” in a neurotypical world.

I do my best work when viewing therapy from a person-centered and relational framework, integrating trauma-informed care into all aspects of treatment. This builds trust and empathetic congruence, allowing our connection to dictate theoretical orientation. I see this work as eclectic in nature, utilizing a mix of CBT, gestalt,  trauma-oriented, and other theoretical approaches depending on the needs of the person I’m serving. I approach therapy with deep respect for each

person’s lived experience and support clients in understanding nervous system responses and developing practical tools for emotional regulation. I believe in prioritizing transparency and

trust throughout the process. Together, we can explore your needs at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.

During my decades-long career, I have successfully blended the nuances of behavioral health supports, creative writing and the arts, and trauma-informed teaching theories and methodologies. I am an activist in the areas of physical disability, behavioral health, gender and sexuality, and autism and other neurodivergence, encouraging people to see differences as strength. My award-winning creative writing explores the mythologies we experience, those we create, and how we remake ourselves. If you are seeking a therapist who values a strengths-based affirming approach, I would be honored to support you in your healing journey.

Fiona Monte, Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee - Supervised by Alexandria Perry, LMFT 128015

Hello, my name is Fiona Monte. Welcome to The Center of Resiliency.

I care deeply about creating a space where you feel safe,

heard, and truly understood. My goal is for you to feel supported as you begin or continue your journey toward healing and

growth.

I currently work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem

concerns, relationship difficulties, trauma, OCD, PTSD, and so on.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on working together in a way that

feels supportive and empowering. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also identifying strengths, resources, and practical steps toward change. I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating realistic, meaningful goals together. As one CBT principle reminds us, “Change begins when we become curious about our thoughts instead of believing them

automatically.”

I’m currently completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Loma Linda University, and I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA. Mental health is something I care deeply about, both personally and professionally. Outside of therapy, I’ve always been someone who values reflection and learning. I’ve been journaling since I was a kid, and it’s something I still return to as a way to slow down and make sense of things. I also love collecting fragrances and currently own over 100 perfumes. I love how scent can hold memory, meaning, and emotion.

I’m really glad you’re here. Reaching out and starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re not sure what you want to say or where things will go. My hope is that this can be a space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out. As a gentle reminder, “You are allowed to question your thoughts and be kind to yourself while you do.”

Sonia Blumberg, Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee -Supervised by Alexandria Perry, LMFT 128015

Hello future client of the Center of Resiliency. If you are struggling with anxiety, sadness, bullying at school or work, stress or worry, or maybe you need support in how to navigate your close relationships? Are the arguments between you and your loved ones needing an intervention? Maybe you overthink or are overly critical of yourself or others are criticizing you? If you can't name it but feel unsatisfied, sad, afraid, or alone, these are all maladaptive responses of anxiety, depression, and trauma. My name is Sonia Blumberg, and if you are here looking for someone to listen to you, support you, teach you coping skills and to see you your way and help you feel better or to learn what is wrong, I think I can help.

I began my journey in counseling initially to work with people struggling with serious mental health diagnoses, then addictions. Once I completed two semesters of clinical interning as a master's level dual diagnosis drug and alcohol counselor, I knew it was my life's purpose to help people find their purpose though marriage and family therapy. My internal development as a therapist trainee is humanistic as well as strength based. The style of these orientations aligns easily with prioritizing the individual needs of clients over what is typically the norm in many treatment or therapy centers. I trust that you know what is best for you and with you we will find or re-kindle that strength, that emotion, that confidence, that forgiveness, that peace, and let it thrive within you.

Once you become my client, I will incorporate the most appropriate therapy type for your needs. I am currently utilizing emotionally focused therapy, solution focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing approaches. I am also trained in emdr.

I specialize in therapy for trauma during childhood (familial sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, scapegoat, parents with undiagnosed mental illness). I also specialize in healing from intimate partner violence, rape, poverty and homelessness. I also see clients needing support from bullying, suicidality, or ostracization by peers at school, work, or family.

The populations I work with currently include teen girls and boys, young women, adult women, couples, and families. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, self harm and suicidality, self-esteem, addictions, romantic relationships, marriage and divorce, borderline personality disorders, bi-polar, adhd, and eating disorders. All genders are welcome.

I have two masters degrees in mental health fields. The first is from Arizona State University M.S. Addiction Psychology. The second Masters from Loma Linda University M.S. Marriage and Family Therapy. I also attended Harvard Medical School certificate program in Media and Medicine in 2021 and Stanford University for several addiction medicine certifications such as benzodiazepine and opioid tapering.

I love to swim wherever there is water. I write something everyday, and love to bake berry pies from scratch.

Ashley Howell, Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee -Supervised by Alexandria Perry, LMFT 128015

Hi, I’m Ashley. Welcome to The Center of Resiliency!

I’m truly excited to support you in your healing process. My personal experiences have shaped my path, and my genuine passion for empathy drives me to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

I am excited to work with a diverse range of people, including teens, adults, couples, families, and the LGBTQ+ community, providing a safe space where you can feel supported and empowered.

I work with individuals and families experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement, trauma, addiction, codependency, anger management, ADHD, relationship issues, adoption-related experiences and challenges, and mood and emotional disorders across the spectrum, including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

I use approaches designed to help you feel understood and supported. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to notice and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to build on strengths and take practical steps forward, Narrative Therapy to explore and reframe the stories you tell about

yourself, trauma-informed care to provide a safe space for processing difficult experiences, and Structural Family Therapy to improve family communication and relationships.

I am pursuing a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate degree at National University, and I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a Certificate in Addictions. My life experiences have shaped my passion for helping others, from navigating personal challenges to understanding the impact of mental health and

relationships. I hope to support you in exploring your experiences, recognizing your strengths, and working toward meaningful growth. Having someone who listens without judgment has been invaluable in my own journey, and I want to provide that same kind of support to you.

Outside of therapy and school, I enjoy getting creative with ink tracing, playing video games, listening to music, and spending quality time with my fur babies and loved ones. I also love binge-watching YouTube and True Crime documentaries and shows, catching up on other series, and cheering on my favorite sports teams.

I’d love to learn about you! I believe every person’s story is worthy of being shared with someone who will hold it with care, and it would be an honor to be that person for you.
