My name is Bernadette and I hold a MA in Marital and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. I enjoy working with couples, family, and individual clients. With over five years of experience in private practice and community mental health centers,  I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, and trauma, and has extensive experience in couples and family therapy. I use an integrative holistic approach, combining cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused, trauma-informed and mindfulness techniques to support emotional well-being and personal growth.

I work predominantly from an Internal Family Systems and Solution-Focused perspective. In my therapeutic approach, I integrate various modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, attachment therapy, and client-centered therapy. I have strong clinical skills and an empathic nature that I bring into my therapeutic practice. I utilize a collaborative approach to suit the needs of the individual, couple, or family. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space where clients are both challenged and supported. I am deeply committed to guiding my clients through self-discovery and growth in a compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive manner.

Chelsea Vizcarra, Associate Clinical Social Worker -Supervised by Briana Henry, LMFT 104847

Hi, I’m Chelsea . Welcome to the Center of Resiliency.

I am honored that you are starting this journey, and I look forward to working with you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as we work together toward your healing and growth.

I specialize in supporting clients who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and self-esteem issues. I also work with individuals experiencing major life transitions, including young adults adjusting to new responsibilities, parents navigating family dynamics, and those coping with separation or divorce. I enjoy working with diverse communities including adults, teens, couples, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. I create a warm, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences openly. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate evidence-based modalities such as CBT to help you challenge unhelpful thoughts, DBT to strengthen coping and emotional regulation skills, or TF-CBT/trauma-informed interventions to process and heal from past trauma. Together, we will work on identifying patterns, learning new tools, and creating healthier ways to cope and thrive.

I earned my Degree of my Master’s in Social from Capella University and have clinical experience in both individual and group therapy settings. Beyond my professional work, I enjoy shopping , art, water activities , and spending time with family/friends. My personal interests help me maintain balance and bring creativity and empathy into my work with clients.

Jonathan Haloossim Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Hi, I’m Jon. I create a supportive and collaborative space for your healing, so you can reconnect with who you truly are and shape a life that feels deeply meaningful and genuinely your own.

What if therapy became a space for curiosity and transformation, not just a place to unload? You want to feel more creative, connected, and social, yet free time slips into doomscrolling, spiraling thoughts, avoidance, and procrastination. The more you withdraw, the more

disconnected you feel. Whether you’re navigating identity, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, break ups, consensual non-monogamy, existential concerns, life transitions, self esteem issues, or body dysmorphia, we’ll build tools to help you reconnect and thrive on your own terms. I offer an affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and people of all backgrounds, as well as couples and adolescents.

I have a holistic client centered approach that is informed by mindfulness. Depth gives insight into the unconscious and conscious parts of you. Somatic connects the body and mind. Psychodynamic explores your past to uncover how it shapes your present. CBT and DBT give you the skills to manage negative thoughts and emotions. I use EMDR to heal from traumatic experiences.

As someone who identifies as pansexual and a second-generation Iranian-American, my lived experiences have given me a broad perspective intertwined with compassion, which I bring into

sessions with clients.I received an M.A in Clinical Psychology program at Antioch University Los Angeles, where there was a strong emphasis on social justice and I gained a broad perspective on the intersection of evidence-based theoretical approaches and multicultural considerations. During my graduate training, I provided individual and group therapy at the Los Angeles LGBT

Center.

Sara Raya, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Hi, my name is Sara Raya, I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, teens, and young adults. I have experience supporting clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties. I also bring a background in the ABA field as a Registered

Behavior Technician (RBT), which allows me to effectively support children and adolescents, including those with autism spectrum–related needs.

I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. My work is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients identify patterns of thinking and behavior that may be contributing to emotional distress. Together, we build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and work toward healthier ways of managing life’s challenges.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University. Outside of therapy, I love to travel and bake, and I enjoy bringing curiosity, creativity, and authenticity into both my personal life and my work with clients.
