Hello, I am so happy to have you here.

I am a therapist who centers my work through a Narrative Therapy lens. I firmly believe in the power of storytelling and its ability to heal, reshape perspectives, and foster empowerment. I strive to create a compassionate and inclusive space where clients feel heard, validated, and understood. My commitment to social justice informs my approach, and I continuously work to understand and challenge systemic issues that impact mental health. My ultimate goal is to assist individuals in navigating their unique stories towards a path of self-discovery and personal growth.

With a client-centered and collaborative approach, I additionally include techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have experience guiding children, teens, families, and adults impacted by depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, family conflicts, and other stressors. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in social services and advocacy assisting foster youth, refugees, immigrants, and other marginalized populations. 

I have a BA in Sociology from the University of California San Diego, and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology. I am also certified as a domestic violence counselor. I am a first generation Mexican-American and a military spouse. In my free time I love snacking, going on adventures, binge watching TV shows and true crime documentaries/podcasts, traveling with my family, theater, and dance parties with my kids.

Hello, I am excited to work with and help individuals on their Mental health journey. My focus is to create a safe space for individuals to collaborate and reflect upon. So, individuals can grow and develop appropriate skills to deal with complicated life challenges and/or situations.

I have worked with all age groups, individuals, couples, and families., depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, anger management, chronic pain, fears, trauma, grief/loss, military families, personal growth, and life transitions. I utilized an array of therapeutic interventions stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic-based therapy, Strength-based therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative therapy.

My  expertise  includes working as a hospice social worker who supported the emotional, psychological, and social wellness of end-of-life patients. I advocated to address the concerns and wishes of people in the later stages of their lives. 

I have experience navigating the school systems, IEP’s, and working with children with disabilities. My clinical rotation included serving a major metropolitan community at the capacity of mental health, chemical dependency, NICU, pediatrics, fetal demise, and underserved populations.

About me: I hold an Associate degree in accounting, a Bachelor of business administration, and a Master’s degree in Social Work. When I am not working with clients, I enjoy my family time and the happiest place on earth.  

I believe that taking care of your health and well-being while taking care of yourself gives you the power to lead the way to learning, skillset, growth, and gives you the chance for the initial transformation to occur.
