Hello and welcome! I'm Rose.
I am a therapist dedicated to delivering culturally sensitive and nurturing support. My belief is that everyone should have access to a secure and supportive environment for navigating life's intricate challenges.
My therapeutic style is anchored in the recognition and appreciation of the diverse cultural influences and life experiences that shape us all. I work with individuals, couples, children, and families from all backgrounds. I value the unique narratives, experiences, and challenges that each client brings to our therapy sessions. Additionally, I prioritize collaborative work with clients, aiming to foster a therapy partnership in the pursuit of well-being and personal growth.
As a trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapist, I am a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist and I'm trained in several evidence-based modalities, including:
• AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy)
• EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)
I also incorporate mindfulness, play therapy, and art therapy to help clients access their emotions and explore vulnerable aspects of themselves through a gender-responsive lens.
About me: I have a BA in Art History from UCLA and an MA in Couple and Family Therapy from The California School of Professional Psychology. When I'm not working, I love spending time at the beach, knitting, and traveling.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me! I'm looking forward to working with you.
Hello! Nice to meet you. I'm Laura.
I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#16475) who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
My background includes individual therapy, inpatient treatment, and nonprofit work. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship and family issues, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions through a trauma-informed lens. I have counseled people from all walks of life, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
When working together, I will help you heal from the inside out for lasting, sustainable change. I utilize a person-centered, humanistic approach, integrating principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.During session, you will learn new coping skills, improve your self-talk, enhance your communication, and gain agency over your life.
We will start with your goals and gradually uncover limiting beliefs, trauma, and repeating patterns that are holding you back from reaching your fullest potential so that you leave every session with tangible next steps.
In my free time, you can find me doing yoga, horseback riding, at a concert, playing with my pets, and exploring new cities and cultures.
Welcome!
My name is Olivia
I am honored to meet you at this moment and walk alongside you on your healing journey.
I’m an experienced psychotherapist and am dedicated to supporting people heal their trauma and live their most joyful, embodied lives. I specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, women’s issues and relationship struggles.
Mental health struggles can leave us feeling numb, broken and out of touch with who we really are. Symptoms arise that can feel debilitating, reactivity, insomnia, crippling anxiety. But when we go to the root - freedom and healing are possible.
I meet you where you’re at, we will compassionately listen to, witness and liberate the different parts of you that have been living in survival mode. My approach is warm, non-judgemental, and compassionate.
My Approach
I approach therapy from a holistic perspective and offer somatic therapy which involves exploring the felt sensations in your body. Somatic therapy has been proven to be more effective than traditional talk therapy for the healing of anxiety, dissociation and depression. Trauma is stored in the body and somatic therapy helps us to release the physically held trauma that is the root of your mental health symptoms.
I also offer Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), IFS is an evidence based approach to therapy that is highly effective for treating a variety of conditions. IFS helps you to learn to love every part of yourself. Through IFS, you discover that every part of you, even parts that carry pain or engage in unhealthy coping mechanisms, have positive intentions and offer valuable insights.
I am trained in Brainspotting, an evidence based treatment for the healing of trauma that goes beyond the conscious mind. Brainspotting facilitates the release of traumatic memories, unprocessed emotions and limiting beliefs from the body and from the nervous system. This type of therapy is especially effective where traditional talk therapy hasn’t helped.
About Me
I am from England and moved to CA in 2015. In my free time I love to dance, make art, play my hand-pan drum, hike and be with my partner and community. Mindfulness is a big part of my life and I have a strong yoga and meditation practice.
